Liu Yating was born with congenital heart disease (CHD). At the time, her parents could not afford the surgery Yating needed to live a healthy life. Unfortunately, as time went on, Yating’s health declined and the disease was so severe that she needed surgery right away. Searching for an opportunity to save their daughter, Yating’s parents traveled more than 17 hours to Shanghai. After their journey, they were told it would take several surgeries and cost tens of thousands of dollars -- which the family couldn’t afford -- to save their daughter. Yating’s parents felt helpless because they felt they couldn’t do anything for their girl.
Nu Skin Greater China Children’s Heart Fund (GCCHF) heard about the family’s situation and offered to cover the cost of Yating’s life-saving operations. The doctors recently completed her last surgery and said her future looks bright. Her parents are forever grateful for the help from Nu Skin GCCHF.
