Overcoming The Odds For A Better Life
The Zimba Family
Food, medicine and other household necessities have not been easy to come by for the Zimba family. The family of six has struggled with malnutrition and illness and chose to attend the School of Agriculture for Family Independence (SAFI) after witnessing their neighbor's harvests increase and health improve.
Since arriving at SAFI, the Zimba family's health and well-being is better and has motivated them to apply what they are learning about balanced meals and nutrition into their daily lives. Feeling healthy has also inspired the family to set goals to buy goats, open their own agricultural business and help other families in need.
