Convoy of Hope
The Nu Skin Force for Good Foundation contributed to the Starlight U.K. Foundation in August 1998. The Starlight U.K. Foundation funds the Convoy of Hope, which is a convoy of medical supplies, food, bedding and basic supplies assembled in the United Kingdom and driven to Bosnia where it is distributed to people in need. Carol Gray, the convoy organizer, has taken dozens of relief convoys from England to Bosnia and Croatia in the last decade. Ms. Gray is a mother and homemaker who wanted to make a difference. She sold the family car to buy a used truck to transport her first load of medical and food supplies to Bosnia. The convoy to which the Nu Skin Force for Good Foundation contributed was comprised of six truck loads of humanitarian aid. The materials were distributed to a children's hospital outside of Sarajevo and a large hospital (2,000 beds) in Sarajevo. In addition to distributing the supplies, the convoy participants restored two kitchens and one bathroom.
