School Rebuilding Project for Tsunami Victims Complete
Two schools in the Ranong Province of Thailand devastated by the Tsunami to hit Southeast Asia in December 2004 were recently opened for students thanks to funds donated by the Nu Skin Force for Good Foundation.
The donation was used to reconstruct the schools in Baan Hin Chang and Baan Koh Lao and will provide a location for more than 500 students to receive their education. Pakapun Leevutinun, general manager of Nu Skin Thailand, was in attendance for the school's opening and made additional donations from the company at the event to each school; 300 school scholarships, six computers and 500 sets of school supplies.
Takerngsak, director of the school in Baan Hin Chang said, "We are appreciative of the generosity that Nu Skin has shown us…along with the new school building, Nu Skin has also supported our education funding with scholarships to allow the students necessities such as shoes and school uniforms."
