The Nu Skin Force for Good Foundation donations

The Nu Skin Force for Good Foundation (www.forceforgood.org), announced it has accumulated more than $300,000 in cash for relief agencies, primarily the Red Cross, which are working to alleviate the suffering in South Asia. This total includes distributor and employee donations as well as the Foundation match.

Andrew Fan, regional vice president for Southeast Asia, announced the region has initiated a project to support a two-school reconstruction program in a tsunami-affected area of southern Thailand. The project will cost about $125,000. The Nu Skin Force for Good Foundation's executive committee last week approved the use of funds donated to the Foundation for tsunami rescue efforts for this purpose during its quarterly meeting. The Thai Red Cross has agreed to work with Nu Skin Thailand to rebuild the schools in Ranong. The Thai Red Cross is under the patronage of Princess Sirinthorn, the second princess of the current king and one of the most popular royals in Thailand. All arrangements for the project will be made through the royal palace office. The schools will be named: Ban Kaolao Nu Skin Force for Good School and Ban Hin Chang Nu Skin Force for Good School.

Two other developments illustrate the sacrifices being made by many people to help the tsunami victims.

  • A Nu Skin distributor in the United States, whose father passed away recent
  • ly, asked that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Nu Skin Force for Good Foundation to aid tsunami victims in South Asia.
  • The students of Westridge Elementary School in Provo, Utah, the city where Nu Skin Enterprises' headquarters is located, donated their lunch money and did chores at home to raise money for the tsunami victims. The children's efforts resulted in a donation of $2,700 to the Nu Skin Force for Good Foundation.
