The Nu Skin Force for Good Foundation has a long history of supporting projects that enable children to learn.  When children learn they are better able to thrive, opening new opportunities for them and future generations through the gift of literacy.

Nu Skin Scholarship Offered Through ETC Helped Mathius Mazengera Become An Accountant 

Meet Mathius Mazengera, an accountant working in his office at N.D. Madalitso Vitameal Production Plant at Blessings Hospital in Lumbadzi.  The 24-year-old is the eldest of eight children who reside with their parents in the outskirts of Mgona Village, near Lilongwe City. Less than five years ago, Mathius only dreamed of becoming an accountant because his father could not afford his post-secondary education as a farmer selling vegetables from his Dimba garden.

 

Foundation Helps Fund Seacology's Project

Nu Skin Force for Good Foundation funded Seacology recently dedicated a new community center in Pohnpei, Federated States of Micronesia, as the result of an exchange to preserve a 752-acre marine area in the Nanweep reef system, which is ranked as an Area of Biological Significance (ABS). The protected coral reef is now a no-take zone for a minimum of 10 years to preserve spawning and serve as an aggregation site for a range of fish species on the main island of Pohnpei.

 

The School of Agriculture for Family Independence (SAFI) Continues To Make a Difference in the Lives of the Malasa Family

Samson Malasa and his wife, Zione, have become successful SAFI graduate farmers in Malawi. By combining hard work with intelligent farm planning and management skills acquired from The School of Agriculture for Family Independence (SAFI), the Malasa family has achieved an impressive harvest of 82 bags of maize, 31 pails of groundnuts, 22 bags of soya, and 53 kg of beans for the year. This helped provide their children Evelyn, Biliat, Thandizo, and Lorient a nutritious diet of four meals every day until the next harvest.

 

12th Nu Hope Library Gives Children in South Korea Hope and Education

Through Force for Good funds, two libraries have been built each year since 2008. There are currently 12 libraries, and a goal to continue building two every year. Children attending the elementary school in Gyeongnam Uiryeong Daeui province in South Korea were all smiles as they celebrated the opening of the Nu Hope Library in their community.

 

Creating Smiles in Malawi Through Educate the Children

After Elida Mandara’s parents died 10 years ago, her grandfather began providing for Elida and her two siblings. He was able to pay for her to attend secondary school, but was unable to provide the means for her to attend college. Because of ETC she was able to attend and graduate from college in December of 2012.

 

2012 Seacology Review (February 2013)

The Nu Skin Force for Good Foundation has generously donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to Seacology, an island preservation organization. Through the Foundations’ partnership with Seacology, nearly 2 million acres of island habitat have been protected.

 

Building a New Generation of Hope (October 2012)
Unfortunately, some years ago, 22-year-old Mike Phili lost his father. He and his five brothers and one sister live with their mother. Mike’s mother could not support the family and afford to send any of her children to receive additional education after primary school. Unable to pay his school fees, Mike turned to the Nu Skin Force for Good Foundation Educate the Children Initiative.

 

2012 SAFI Graduation (August 2012)

Twenty nine families were forever changed with the graduation of the 2012 School of Agriculture for Family Independence (SAFI) class on Thursday, August 23, 2012. Families who have graduated from the program now have the skills and education from SAFI to be self-sufficient in providing for their families, completely enhancing their lives. More than 1,000 people joined the President of Malawi, Joyce Banda in congratulating the SAFI graduates in their accomplishment.

 

School Rebuilding in Haiti Update (July 2012)

After the devastating earthquake in Haiti on January 12, 2010, the Nu Skin family joined together to provide much needed relief to those affected by the disaster. Through employee’s and distributor’s generous donations, the Nu Skin Force for Good Foundation was able to provide a grant to rebuild an elementary school in Carrefour.

 

Seacology Updates Two Island Schools (June 2011)

The Nu Skin Force for Good Foundation continues its ongoing partnership with Seacology to improve the education and environment of young islanders. This year, two communities will benefit from educational advancements funded by grants from the Foundation to Seacology in exchange for environmental preservation.

 

Force for Good Foundation Grant Rebuilds School in Haiti (May 2010)

Before the devastating earthquake in Haiti earlier this year, the 47 nuns and teachers at St. Francois de Sales Primary and Secondary School worked hard to give their 11,000 students an education, food and much needed healthcare.
