Over 700 Children Benefit from Children’s Hope Project

Nu Skin Japan Children’s Hope Project Helps Children Affected by Great Eastern Japan Earthquake.

Founded in 2011 by Nu Skin distributors and employees, the Nu Skin Children of Hope Project provides continuous, long-term support to children affected by the 2011 tsunami and earthquake in Japan.

The first to receive help from the project were the three children of a Nu Skin distributor who lost his life in the disaster. Each child was provided with a scholarship, which provides monthly support while the children are still in school.

In addition to these three children, the project also provided 47 scholarships to affected children. One of the recipients, 2nd grader Onodera Katsuki, stated the following after receiving the scholarship, “Thank you for the present. You gave us dreams, so we will follow them.”

Nu Skin also donated a vehicle to the “Center of Children’s Mental Health Care” to help make it possible for Child Physiatrists to reach children in need. Many children are still mentally affected by the disastrous earthquake and tsunami.

Through the Nu Skin Japan Children’s Hope Project, distributors and employees hope to build a brighter future for those children affected by the earthquake and subsequent tsunami in Japan. “Thank you very much for all the presents,” Sakai Neneka, a local 3rd grader stated with gratitude. “When I grow up, I will also be a kind person like you and help other people. We will stand strong not to be overwhelmed by the disaster.”
