Groundbreaking Donations Provide Relief for Japan
July 18, 2011—Participating in today’s groundbreaking ceremony for the Nu Skin Innovation Center were Team Elite distributors who made the winning bid to be part of this historic event. A major source of funding for the Nu Skin Force for Good Foundation is through auctions and at this year’s annual Team Elite incentive trip in New York City four distributor teams pledged $25,000 for disaster relief efforts in Japan:
Pat and Marguerite Sung of McLean, Va., began their Nu Skin business in 1991 and have been Team Elite distributors for 16 years, joining Nu Skin’s 20 Million Dollar Circle in 2004.
Masayuki and Tamako Kishimoto of Bellevue, Wash. have been Team Elite distributors for 19 years, joining Nu Skin’s 10 Million Dollar Circle in 2001.
Wang K’uan Ming and Chen Ming Chu from Taiwan began their Nu Skin business in 1992 and have been Team Elite distributors for 18 years, joining Nu Skin’s 20 Million Dollar Circle in 2007.
Lang and Jean Chou of San Jose, Calif., have been Team Elite distributors for 22 years and joined Nu Skin’s 20 Million Dollar Circle in 2001. The Chous generously donated $25,000 to relief efforts although they were unable to attend the groundbreaking event.
The auctioned opportunity included participating in the lineup of Nu Skin executives and local officials to turn the first dirt using souvenir spoon shovels. The distributor teams also enjoyed an exclusive lunch with Nu Skin founders and executives after the ceremony.
Nu Skin thanks these donors for their generous contributions and their continued support of the Nu Skin Force for Good Foundation and its mission since it was formed in 1996.
