Two-year-old Loi Chung Hui lives in Johor, Malaysia. He is the youngest child in his family, and when his parents found out their little boy was in need of open heart surgery, they were devastated.
Was he going to be alright? How were they going to be able to afford this operation? Chung Hui’s father works as a catering assistant while his mother is a housewife, the family had barely enough money to live day-to-day, and had no idea how they would make ends meet.
With the added financial stress of Chung Hui’s much-needed surgery, the Hui family didn’t know what to do. Thankfully, with help from the Southeast Asia Children’s Heart Fund, their worries were put to rest. Little Chung Hui underwent a successful surgery, and now his entire family has been given another chance to smile again.
